The project starts with Ningbo's local culture, weaving a story of interlaced past and present through the Maritime Silk Road, modern finance, clothing industry, and film industry: walking along cobblestone streets to Jiangxia District, one can see signboards of hundreds of banks of various sizes. The layered details in the lobby draw inspiration from Ningbo's banking history. The rich design details of the bar, embellished with bright colors of materials and made of gorgeous metals, and the layout of the reception desk are inspired by bank service counters. It imitates wooden counters with window grilles and sets up banking utensils like abacuses and scales. The charm of East-West integration is reflected in furniture and materials, and with the novel infusion of traditional elements, it feels extraordinarily familiar and intimate.
